The business started with consulting in the inbound/outbound sector. We have supported the distribution of value across borders and continued to create spaces where people connect. Currently, while focusing on business support through web technology, we have consistently valued the attitude of "supporting challenges" since our founding.
The name Japavilion combines Japan + Pavilion (a gathering place for people). We aim to be a presence as a hub where people interact, help each other, and create value, with the wish to be a hub representing Japan anywhere in the world.

Japavilion started from the desire to be a strong partner accompanying customers in their challenges. From consulting services, we progressed to business support utilizing web technology, and then to system development. Here are the highlights of that journey.
Started with Market Research & Consulting
Japavilion's start was supporting overseas brands planning to re-enter the Japanese market.
Through street interviews and FGI (Focus Group Interviews), we collected real voices from consumers and conducted qualitative market analysis.
However, we realized the limitations of data coverage with these methods alone, and felt the need for broader quantitative analysis.
Through practice, we cultivated perspectives to grasp challenges from both qualitative and quantitative aspects.
Activities then expanded further into consulting in inbound/outbound sectors, including interpretation and sales support for exhibition participation.
We supported the distribution of value across borders, connecting people with people, and companies with markets.
Introduction of Web Technology and Discovery of Possibilities
To solve challenges felt during market research, we introduced methods such as web scraping and SNS data analysis.
While being mindful of information reliability, we strongly felt the benefits of being able to collect and analyze large amounts of data in a short period.

To engage more deeply with customer challenges, building systems that support the business itself was essential beyond analysis.
With this in mind, we worked on improving the technical skills needed for system construction, looking at the process of data accumulation, management, analysis, and improvement.
This experience became the foundation for later web technology utilization in business support and system construction.

Utilizing the technical skills and perspectives cultivated through 2018-2019 activities, we started web system development and implementation as business support as a clear service.
We emphasized improvement proposals based on deep understanding of on-site operations, not just development.

I am Kaneko, the CEO of Japavilion.
As a freelance full-stack engineer, I have consistently handled everything from UI/UX design to frontend and backend implementation, as well as maintenance and operations. I have often been responsible as PL/PM from project launch to release, and I specialize in proposals and operational support including a business perspective, not just technical skills.
However, I don't intend to limit my support to "engineering" alone. Sometimes I conduct market research as a consultant, sometimes I accompany overseas sales as an interpreter, and sometimes I build management systems from scratch for DX promotion. Where there is a customer's challenge, I jump in beyond my role and deliver the necessary support—that is my stance.
The trade name Japavilion embodies the idea of Japan + Pavilion (a gathering place for people). From my experience supporting inbound/outbound sectors when the business was founded, I wanted to create a place where people can interact, help each other, and create value across borders and fields. With that wish, I chose this name.
Currently, I mainly work on business improvement and development support centered on web technology, but what I have consistently valued since founding is the feeling that "I want to be a place where challengers can come with peace of mind."
Rather than imposing the "right answer," I want to be a supportive partner who listens carefully to customers' thoughts, worries together, thinks together, and walks together to find the optimal solution.
